LIVE AT SCOTT STREET

After making a brief appearance on John Altenburgh's "Vol. II" CD, The PETRIFIED ALIEN BRAIN BLUES BAND AND CO. was quickly signed by Altenburgh records. Their first release, "Fast and Bulbous" is a fast-paced, loose-feeling collection.

Leader and veteran guitarist Chris O'Keefe heads off in all directions of the blues on this mix of originals and standards. Also featured in this driving blues band are: Mark Farrell on bass, Pete Shank on Hammond C-3 organ, Matt Dahlmann on harmonica and Stevie "Stingray" Dwyer on drums.

A few years down the road the ensemble felt the need to capture their sound as so many had experienced it for years...live and unbridled! Welcome to "Too Wet To Plow... Too Windy To Stack BBs". Recorded at the Witz End in Stevens Point, WI, this album captures some staples of the band's live shows, including their reworking of Albert King's "Crosscut Saw" and an extended workout on the Neil Young classic "Cortez The Killer".

The double cd set "Live at Scott Street" was recorded at The famous Scott Street Pub, Wausau, WI in 2000. This recording features the Brain... Chris O'Keefe, Pete Shank, Tony Kusserow & Ken Stevenson with special guests....Otis McLennon, Tim Jauernig, John Altenburgh, Brad Love & Bill Engle for a night of pure jammin' blues & rock. The last recording of the Brain before they hung it up in 2002 after enjoying more than a decade as Wisconsin's premier Blues & Jam band.
