FROM THE "GET GONE!" LINER NOTES:
"AFTER our first release, “Two Hits For The Kitty: The Sun Studio Sessions”, spent 17 weeks in the world’s blues charts (Roots Music Report), a reviewer described the Memphis ‘get-away’ recording session as “The Ultimate Road Trip”. That writer hit it dead on - it was the ultimate road trip...and we wanted to do it again!

Upon soliciting and receiving some great advice from David Leach (Polygram, Big 3 Records), we decided the next logical choice was Fame Recording Studio in Muscle Shoals, Alabama. What a great decision! We then found out that two acclaimed sidemen, David Hood and Mike Dillon Curington, were available for the session. Chris O’Keefe basically passed out – a chance to record with David Hood of the renowned “Swampers”, the powerhouse Muscle Shoals Rhythm Section! The time went quickly. The highlights: the chance to record at Fame...sitting in with The Decoys during the WC Handy Blues Festival...having the legendary Rick Hall, founder of Fame, walk into our session...cranking out 11 songs in 7 hours (they said it couldn’t be done!)...working with David Hood and Mike Dillon Curington...a true pleasure. Surreal!! What a trip!! And we made it there and back without running anything over this time."

FROM THE "TWO HITS FOR THE KITTY" LINER NOTES:
"AFTER taking the tour of the famed Sun Recording Studio in Memphis in 2000, I established a relationship with the current owner of the studio/museum, John Schorr. It started when I loaned Sun Studio an archaic recording device called a “lathe recorder” to be placed in the museum portion of the building. Schorr then offered me to bring my band down for a free recording session in the same room that Elvis,
Jerry Lee Lewis, Howlin’ Wolf, Johnny Cash, Roy Orbison, Ringo Starr, U2, Matchbox 20, Bob Dylan and countless other dignitaries of the music world had recorded at. I then decided to pick my long time musical cohorts, John Greiner, Mark Mattioli, Chris O’Keefe and Keras Rubka-Nimz for the ultimate road trip."
