Now in it's twelfth year, the WISCONSIN CHRISTMAS JAZZ AND BLUES show has garnered a reputation for excellence among the many people who have attended past performances. Wausau's City Pages calls it "arguably the best Christmas concert of the decade!" This year's lineup features Janet Planet, vocals; Otis McLennon, vocals and harmonica; Randy Sabien, fiddle; John Greiner, tenor sax; Chris O'Keefe, guitar; Tom Theabo , guitar; Tom Washatka, tenor sax; Bob Kase, trumpet; David Story, bass; Ryan Korb, drums; Mark Mattioli, percussion; and of course, John Altenburgh leading them all on keys. Also featured this year is Mitch Viegut . Bringing together some of the finest musicians Wisconsin has to offer leads to a feast of opportunities for inspired soloing and musical interplay. Highlights of past shows include Planet's no-holds-barred gospel rendition of "Amazing Grace", O'Keefe's ode to Martha Stewart and Altenburgh romping through "You're A Mean One, Mr. Grinch".
