BAD HABIT is John Altenburgh's rock group that performed in the late '70's. Bad Habit reformed for a reunion concert at The Rothchild Pavilion in the Spring of '97. The group appeared on the CD "Rock & Roll Revival '97" in 1998, and the 1999 CD entitled "Wisconsin Rocks" which features original recordings from Wisconsin bands from the 1950s through '80s. Bad Habit also made an appearance on John Altenburgh's "Christmas at Buzz's Restaurant" CD in 1998 and gigged throughout the summer of '99. They have also released their latest album, "In Concert" featuring cuts from various shows performed over the last few years.
The group essentially first formed in 1976, when core members, John Altenburgh, Mark Mattioli, Wayne Sharkey, all from Mosinee, WI, hooked up with, Mike O'Connor, Kerry Nimz & Bill Burkett. All of the musicians have kept performing with various bands throughout the '80's & '90's, ranging in music styles from jazz, blues, latin, country, new wave etc.
